Often described as the best recycling county program in Maryland with a waste diversion rate of more than 64%, Harford County, began a computer and electronics recycling program after its many successful Special e-Cycling Collection Events with Subtractions, LLC; sponsored by the Maryland Department of the Environment (MDE).

Today Harford County leads the state in overall recycling and provides its residents with one of the best programs in the nation.
